Discover DHBW: Where Academic Excellence Meets Practical Experience
The Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (short: DHBW) is a public higher education institution in Germany that offers a unique model of study combining academic theory with practical work experience. It operates in nine locations and three campuses throughout the state of Baden-Württemberg, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in fields like business, engineering, social work, and healthcare. All under‐graduate programmes provide 210 ECTS credits, ensuring they are intensive and fully accredited both nationally and internationally. Students at DHBW work closely with partner companies, engage in alternating periods of theory (on campus) and practice (in companies), and are financially compensated during their practical phases. The university emphasizes international cooperation, student exchanges, and curricula that prepare graduates for careers in an increasingly globalised environment.

ISAdual - Integration into studies and job market
The ISAdual project follows a comprehensive approach to recruiting and supporting international prospective students and enrolled students at DHBW. It specifically prepares them for the cooperative study program and provides continuous guidance throughout their entire course of study to ensure academic success. Existing measures are strengthened and further developed in this context. International students aiming for a degree program in Germany receive ongoing support to promote their successful integration into the labor market.
Postgraduate Study Programmes
The DHBW Center for Advanced Studies (CAS) was established in 2014 in Heilbronn to centralise DHBW’s postgraduate and further education offers. CAS offers career-integrated, part-time Master’s degree programmes in fields such as Business, Engineering, Social Work, and Health, as well as certificate courses and seminars for lifelong learners. The programmes are designed for graduates (from any type of tertiary institution) who already have professional experience and want to deepen specialist expertise or enhance leadership and management skills. Lectures are offered in close cooperation with partner companies, combining theoretical modules with directly relevant work in the students’ profession.
